Harvest Word Assembly began as
a divine assignment.
The church was born on March 1st, 2015, near where Lighthouse Church now stands, with its inaugural service held at the Light House Event Centre, Adesokan Road, Surulere, Lagos. What started as a gathering of faith has grown into a prophetic family committed to God’s mandate and a vision for His people.
At Harvest Word Assembly, we are committed to building a safe haven — a place where believers are nurtured and the released voices into the assigned places of His Kingdom in an atmosphere saturated in His God’s presence, love, and truth.
Over the years, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, the church has grown beyond its first gathering, in obedience to God’s mandate. Harvest Word Assembly has expanded to multiple centres, each carrying the same heartbeat, doctrine, and spiritual integrity. What began as a single gathering has grown into a family across multiple cities, carrying one mandate and one vision.
We are a place of refuge for the broken, the weary, and those seeking purpose. With a shepherd’s heart, we walk with people through restoration until they are established in God’s gifts, purpose, and calling for their lives.
Our ultimate pursuit is not numbers, but transformed lives — believers who are rooted in Christ, aligned with His purpose, and equipped to represent Him accurately in their generation.

Prophet Dr. Gbenga Shafe
For over a decade, Prophet Dr. Gbenga Shafe has faithfully led The Harvest Word Assembly with a passion for God's presence, sound biblical teaching, and prophetic ministry. His calling is to raise believers who love God deeply, hear His voice clearly, and become mature disciples who transform their world.
Beyond the pulpit, he is an educator, leadership consultant, and technology entrepreneur committed to equipping people for excellence both in ministry and in everyday life.
His heart remains simple: to see lives transformed by Christ and aligned with God's purpose.
